Broadcasting live from Warsaw, Dominika Pisula, an experienced Microsoft product expert, guided us through the practical uses of Copilot and the broader Microsoft 365 suite. The agenda covered everything from working with Word summaries, optimizing CVs, and preparing visual CV presentations, to enhancing language proficiency with Reading Coach and unleashing creativity via Microsoft Designer.

Communication that Moves You Forward

Using Word, Dominika showed how Copilot distills lengthy documents into clear summaries. Scheduling meetings across global time zones became effortless, as Copilot generated instant insights and even built a table detailing work hours, meeting preferences, and styles for each participant, all by just generating a summary of the information included in the document describing meeting preferences, keeping everyone informed and aligned.

Crafting Impactful CVs and Presentations

Copilot transforms the CV process into a creative experience. Dominika demonstrated two powerful prompts:

  • To transform the CV into a visual template: “transform my CV into a visual template with a timeline for work experience, icons for skills, bold headers with my name and title. Use color blocks for sections as separation and ensure that this is eye-catching but professional.”
  • To create a PowerPoint from the CV: “create a presentation about my CV that effectively highlights my qualifications and professional strengths. The presentation should consist of few slides, each focusing on key aspects such as skills, experience, language and other relevant details. Prioritize the most impactful information while including additional supporting content where it’s appropriate. Frame my CV content to make it as compelling and polish as possible. Avoid placing large blocks of text on the slides. Use concise points and visuals instead.”

Copilot organizes all essential sections, from professional summary to awards and certifications, and instantly generates a dynamic PowerPoint presentation. The design suggestions feature, makes customization seamless, ensuring your strengths stand out visually and professionally.

Improving Reading and Pronunciation

For improving reading and pronunciation skills, especially in foreign languages, Dominika emphasized how Reading Coach is a valuable asset for professional development. It’s particularly effective for practicing interviews and presentations, as users can input their own scripts, such as presentation text or interview questions, and read them aloud. The tool listens for pronunciation accuracy, identifying words that need more practice, which helps refine delivery for important professional scenarios.

Reading Coach also enhances language proficiency by supporting multiple languages and accents. It offers advanced features like syllable division, parts of speech highlighting, audio pronunciation for individual words, and a picture dictionary, all of which aid in understanding and mastering new vocabulary and correct pronunciation.

The platform personalizes the learning experience by tracking progress, including reading speed and completed practices, and saves user preferences, making it a tailored tool for ongoing language development. With adjustable text preferences, audio pronunciations, and detailed progress tracking, Reading Coach becomes a personalized language companion.

Unleashing Creativity with Microsoft Designer

Dominika illustrated the visual power of AI with this prompt: “generate an image of a red fluffy hoodie bath robe.”

With just a few words, Designer produced a variety of creative and editable images, perfect for personal or professional projects, all clearly labeled as AI-generated.

Dominika wrapped up by highlighting that Copilot is more than a feature, it’s your creative partner for planning, communicating, and achieving your aspirations. With these prompts and tools, you’re equipped to elevate your work, sharpen your skills, and realize your ambitions. Have questions for Dominika?
